Comme tous les quatre ans, les clubs rotary de Leipzig, Lodi et The City & Shoreditch se retrouvent à Saint Raphaël pour des échanges et visites amicales.
Du 2 au 4 Mai, nos amis ont profité d’un très beau programme avec la visite guidée de Fréjus la romaine et médiévale et des villas Belle Époque à Saint Raphaël, la villa Marie et la villa Chantereine. Les présidents des clubs et la gouverneure district 1130 se sont réunis au siège du club à l’hôtel Golf de Valescure afin de faire un point sur les projets internationaux soutenus depuis 2017 au Sénégal et en Ethiopie, et discuter du prochain projet international 23-24.
Un barbecue festif s’en est suivi et a permis les échanges de fanions et de cadeaux, dont une superbe céramique ornée des noms des 4 clubs (Lodi), un tableau du marché de Leipzig, des cartes à jouer sur la vie de Napoléon, une gravure anglaise d’époque et un magnifique carré or et rose fabriqué en Inde par la gouverneure district 1130, Suraiya Kassamally.
Cette soirée a été celle de la générosité grâce à la vente des bougies de l’Espoir (https://rotarystraphael.fr/les-bougies-de-lespoir/) qui permettra l’achat de doses de vaccin contre la Polio.
Le séjour se termine par un dîner de gala avec la présence d’André Pichaud, past gouverneur du district 1730 et Philippe Loucheux, ADG
On se revoit l’année prochaine à Lodi en Italie!

From May 2 to 4, our friends enjoyed a very nice program with a guided tour of Roman and medieval Fréjus and the Belle Époque villas in Saint Raphaël, the Villa Marie and the Villa Chantereine. The club presidents and the district 1130 governor met at the club headquarters at the Golf de Valescure hotel to take stock of the international projects supported since 2017 in Senegal and Ethiopia, and discuss the next international project 23-24 .
A festive barbecue followed and allowed the exchange of pennants and gifts, including a superb ceramic decorated with the names of the 4 clubs (Lodi), a painting of the Leipzig market, playing cards on the life of Napoleon, a period English engraving and a magnificent gold and pink square made in India by the district 1130 governor, Suraiya Kassamally .
This evening was one of generosity thanks to the sale of Candles of Hope (https://rotarystraphael.fr/les-bougies-de-lespoir/) which will allow the purchase of doses of Polio vaccine.
